Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling your opponent. Different to other styles, BJJ teaches a smaller person how to defend themselves by using leverage techniques.

The founders of BJJ, the Gracie family, developed this style by combining Judo and Japanese Jiu Jitsu from the early 20th century. BJJ’s most famous technique is ground fighting, which utilizes the styles numerous chokes, holds, locks and joint manipulations.
